I started my work on this project in my time of study in Japan and continued my research in NYC, San Francisco , and Boston. A modern abstract fantasy landscape. Exploring the connection of love for nature and wilderness, the mountains, forest, the animals and the plants in a positive and hopeful, but at the same time on a different layer, trauma-like vision in which the fear of doom but certainly of the threat to nature resonates within. From this vibration arises an energy that gives nature all the force to oppose the threat of man, pollution, climate change, etc.. Nothing was planned, the work has emerged from itself. It challenges the binaries we continually reconstruct between Self and Other, between our own ‘cannibal’ and ‘civilized’ selves.
