Migration II Painting

Inspired from a lifetime spent swimming in the ocean, observing the reactions of movement on and in water. Migration is a response to being bullied and targeted in the workplace, sometimes it’s better to rise up, walk away and move rather than staying in a toxic environment. Inspired by how people toxic actions and behaviour can have a ripple effect. Multiple layers of paint have been applied to give a screen print like opacity, featuring sky blue and aqua metallic acrylic that glimmers on the surface. Bold, calligraphic lines have been over laid atop lush shapes of saturated color. A abstract symbolic style infused with loads of pointillism, interesting detail and subtle texture over the entire surface.
