S t o r y The Migration collection is intended to capture the subject of departure focusing on the positive aspect of separation, leaving, breaking ties, closing the old chapter and starting anew. The paper airplane objects representing the dynamic force and a faceless portrait of a traveler, explorer and a pioneer. Simple light emotion of this flying element takes you to those carefree childhood memories, full of play time and moment when one explores physical nature. Imposing or sometimes enveloping this symbol with the clouds I strengthen the message to emphasise the scale of ever-changing terrain around us. The clouds are big, strong, dominating. But full of detail and complexity. In contrast, the paper planes are small, fragile yet perfectly built to take on a flight of undefined trajectory. These little vessels are not meant to be this high up, naturally. However, just like us, they find themselves redefining the limits. Empowered within. H120 x W100 cm / H47" x W39" 4cm white edge Gloss varnish (gentle shine) to protect from UV, dust and scuffing. Mid grain cotton canvas only artist quality paints, mediums and varnish. shipped stretched ready to go on the wall out of the box

Yuliya is a multidisciplinary painter based in a leafy countryside of Berkshire (UK). Originally from Kazakhstan, she's been living in the UK for the past 20 yrs. Yuliya received classical art school training as a child 10-16 yrs old. She was destined for Moscow top school of arts, but this was also the time of Soviet collapse and she was trained as a lawyer instead. Yuliya had received Masters in Law (Queen Mary Uni of London), GDL in BPP Waterloo and had received her MBA, KIMEP prior settling in the UK. She worked in energy, private clients and high level charitable project before she was able to return to painting full time 20 years later. Since 2015, Yuliya has been well received exhibitor as independent artist and represented by the galleries in the London art fairs and nationwide. Online platforms, art advisors and working with recognised brands was and still is key to Yuliya’s development as an artist. Her works found its way to movie sets (Marvel for Doctor Strange 2016, ABC for Scandal, 2017), have been shown in exclusive London members clubs, stylish hotels across the UK and US and luxury fine dining venues. Her work acquired by many interior designers for yachts, cruise liners, international resorts and held in private collections world wide. Yuliya is known for developing collections filled with elegant flow and ethereal glow. She explores idea of fragility and strength in her sky scapes, isolation at sea in dreamy sail boats coastal series, urban crowd dynamics in Connected works on paper and most recently cyclical nature of florals in her 2024 Blossom collection. With each of them focusing on delivering a dreamy side of an elemental realm, the body of works at large filled with weight free emotion effortlessly filling the viewer with light nostalgia. fall involve with me on instagram: @y_martynova_ where i show my life, my work, my beautiful house, daughter and occasionally a hiding hubby
