About The Artwork

Built to a design by the architect Ulisse Stacchini, it was inaugurated in 1931 to replace the previous central station of 1864 which stood in the current Piazza della Repubblica and which had become insufficient to absorb the increase in railway traffic. The management of the systems is entrusted to Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), a company of the Ferrovie dello Stato group, which classifies the station in the "Platinum" category,[3] while that of the commercial areas of the monumental passenger building is the responsibility of Grandi Stazioni. In November 2010, the airport was named after Saint Francesca Cabrini (1850-1917), founder of the congregation of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The paintings are signed and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

« Painting is like entering a bubble where time is suspended and nothing else exists. » Giuseppe Valia is an Italy-based artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. For him, the act of creation is a portal, connecting him with the unexplored, as well as an escape. Valia's works are diverse in both theme and genre, her striking cityscapes, graffiti-inspired pieces and portraits are often created using oils, acrylics and spray paint on canvas or wood.
