About The Artwork
This is one of a series of about 80 miniature mini paintings I created many years ago. This painting named " HAL" is from my head or channeled. I have been an intuitive for decades and deal with the other dimensions. This original painting is many layers of acrylic and antique glue on a very tiny stretched canvas which measures 4 by 4 inches and comes with its own wood stand. If you travel a lot or want something cool on your desk or in your office, Hal can be a companion to your best and worst days and stave off loneliness. You can talk to him and he won't talk back. You can ask him questions and if you are calm and still, he may answer them. I have signed the front and back of this one of a kind painting. Like I said it comes with a small wood stand and is tiny and very portable. Don't you want a new friend? Hal is available and needs to be adopted.

Born USA. I started making art at the age of 21. I was admitted on the spot to the San Francisco Art Institute upon showing the Dean of Admissions my portfolio of Thurberesque Drawings with funny captions. Much of my artistic inspiration from my flea market finds ( vintage & rare ephemera), my huge unusual vintage, children's book collection, dance & burlesque performances, icons, symbols and images from all kinds of religions and my exploration into personal relationships. Although I have a distinctive style, I have explored many mediums- collage, painting, drawing, print making & fabric design, digital art. Some of my work is pretty and decorative but I also create ugly & raw paintings. These self therapy paintings are meant to be ugly and humourous . Kitsch, fashion, phtography, film, Children's art, German expressionism, Matisse, Dufy, Nolde, Redon as well as unknown outsider & folk+ art brut artists are have contributed to my style.
