ABOUT THE ARTWORK
At the beginning of last year, I read IKIGAI. It's a Japanese concept referring to something that gives a person a sense of purpose, a reason for living. This book made me feel calm and provided me with a sense of joy. This painting represents that same emotion with a pop of yellow coming in like a burst of sunshine and joy that you find when something sparks joy in your life and the circle in one hue gives this sense of calmness like meditation, activating your chakras. Made using acrylic paints and fine line markets on canvas sheet, unframed.
