About The Artwork

Debra Bretton Robinson is a contemporary landscape painter based in New England. Debra's acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on significant places she has encountered in her life. Her style borders between representational and abstract. The colors and lines of her paintings are inspired by Matisse during the Fauvist movement and Lawren Harris of the "Seven" in Canada. The talents of several other artists she continues to draw upon are: William Henry Johnson, Alice Neel and Edward Hopper. Jazz and Blues music continue to be a force in her work. Debra works out of her studio (#A409) at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, Ma, USA and can be contacted directly or through her email address.
