Mm! Painting

Little is known about the breed of creature depicted in the painting I call "Mm!" The likeness depicted herein is composited from various descriptions found in newspapers from Bayonne, NJ dating from The Hudson County Times on November 17th, 1873 to the Jersey Journal, August 12th, 2021. While many have encountered these creatures, known to locals by such nicknames as "spiderberries," "murderballs," "Blue Stanleys," and "the glomboids," few have survived to tell the tale and even fewer have been willing to provide information about their purportedly volleyball-sized assailants. "But awww!" said one unidentified elderly female victim to the Bayonne Community News in 1987. "Their spider legs are so (redacted) soft! You gotta pet 'em! What's a couple-a pints of blood? So what? I lose that when I shave my legs drunk!" While there is much debate about where these creatures came from, how to eradicate them, and even if they exist at all (!!!), there is no debate as to what to do if you ever see one. Do not engage! Quickly turn around, run as fast as you can, and call animal control once you've reached shelter. The Bayonne Spiderberry Awareness Alliance Of Hudson County And Beyond has issued the following statement: "Hey, don't be a schnook! If you see something, scream something!"
