Moon night - Đêm Trăng Painting

Artist: Đặng Can The painting illustrates the romantic scenery of people who live in boats in one full moon night. Their living condition is very poor and sad, however, under the painter's brush, it becomes warm, peaceful and somehow lively. Đặng Can artist is a Vietnamese painter who was born in 1957 in An Duc commune, Long Ho District, Vinh Long Provine, the place is located along riverside of Mekong river in Vietnam. His style of painting is not only very soft, deep but also very attractive in the peacefulness of Mekong Delta. His paintings bring full of color dreams, which are imbrued with poetry, touch of romance but also very realistic. The main subject throughout his works are landscapes in peaceful countryside of Mekong delta, the school girls in Aodai - traditional dress of Vietnam, and the daily activities local farmers. They are simple but lovely and calm to look at..
