About The Artwork
A moonlight visit to Big Sur inspired this coastal landscape. This large painting is the result of my smaller study Big Sur in Moonlight. The light was fading, the cliffs were large and hulking, the waves were crashing in. The waves could be heard more than seen. This painting captures how I felt during this magical moment.
