About The Artwork
This painting is inspired by the movement of water. Heavy oil glazes mixed with rare pigments from the earth in the region of Italy that produces very deep dark red wines. The surface is nuanced and textured, making it appear slightly different depending on the position of the viewer and the time of day. The same pigments were used during the Renaissance for frescoes and lacquered works.
