Morning Light Painting

Painting is my passion since I started my art studies in my hometown Yekaterinburg, Russia at the age of 8. Since then I have studied art throughout my life, both in Russia (Ekaterinburg Academy of Art) and in Spain (UMA Faculty of Fine Arts). Besides, I have attended multiple workshops of internationally recognized artists such as Jacob Dhein (USA), Alexey Efremov (Russia), Blanca Alvarez (Spain), Victoria Prischedko (Germany), etc. I currently work in my studio in Malaga where I have resided since 2002, I participate in competitions and exhibitions both locally and in national and international events. Member of the Andalusian Watercolorist Association (Malaga department). My specialty is landscapes in watercolor and oil, although I work in other techniques such as acrylic, tempera, charcoal, etc. I like to paint outdoors (plein air) using traditional techniques; the style that most defines my works is impressionism. Maria Firsova is a Russian artist born in Yekaterinburg, living since 2002 on the Costa del Sol (Spain). Her main specialty is landscape painting using oil and watercolor techniques. ​ In her works Maria depicts various states of nature. By means of combining colors harmoniously and depicting the subtle nature of light Maria manages to create emotion in the viewer, influencing his state of mind. With her art she aims at reminding the viewer about the beauty of the world that surrounds us and the brevity of those happy moments that we need to cherish.
