About The Artwork

What/who inspired the work? Biomorphism models artistic design elements on naturally occurring patterns or shapes reminiscent of nature and living organisms. Taken to its extreme it attempts to force naturally occurring shapes onto functional devices. (source: Wikipedia) Morphism comes from Biomorphism, an artistic movement that inspired a cross over between repetitive organic elements such as colour cells evolving, clinging to one another to build larger structures. What do you hope its viewers will feel/think? A sense of endless wandering through shape and colours. A mind flow going from pattern to pattern, each bounce leading to a color match based on complementaries occurrences in the color wheel. The wheel itself is a whole like what our eyes can grasp of the visible spectrum that ranges from the ultra violet to the infra red. The painting uses extremely bright colours along with subdued tones to soothe the transition. Balance is the key of the painting. A colour balance leading to harmony. The sense of whole and joy the painting emanates relates to my childhood fascination with colours. Why did you choose the medium, subject matter, style? The canvas is easily pinned on the wall. I can work on large scale paintings in that way. It's also very immersive to have all these colours rushing towards you. About the painting IMPORTANT: although it is stated that the work is on paper it is actually CANVAS. For a matter of convenience and because of its size it is easier for shipping to arrange transportation in a large solid and secured tube. The collector can either frame it himself of staple it on his wall, this is actually what I did when I presented this painting not long ago in France. The painting is signed at the back. Shipping / handling Will ship in a solid secure and insured tube and will be dispatched to your doorstep or office by a professional carrier service

My paintings are evocative of abstract landscapes. I build imaginary structures in space that ressemble past experience gathered from literature and wanderings off the city limits and in nature. I have been experimenting with various techniques ranging from oil painting to gouache, watercolor and pastels. Experimentation takes me to new territories and help me reveal the inner beauty of the materials I use. I show their delicacy and subtleness and the color variation and granularity from the smallest to the largest works I have produced. In my exhibitions I always experiment with different medium and try to push my ideas and concepts further so that they make a mark in the exhibition space. I cannot hang a painting in a gallery space without carefully plan and produce for that space. The work becomes interlocked with its surrounding and makes an imprint to something I can later relate too. Colour has become the central figure of my paintings, a spiritual guide and a way of expressing my personal feelings. I focus on a palette or sometimes on a single color and I build not only a work but a world around it. The landscape becomes abstract from the very moment that the gaze loses itself in it. All the works displayed on my personal Saatchi webpage is available for sale and will ship worldwide in secured and insured crate or tube. The work is genuine and I’ll provide a signed certificate of authenticity in the shipment along with the proper form and custom declaration. Painter born in Argentina in 1967.
