About The Artwork
This painting is made by the Congolese artist Raphael Kalala Lusengu, one of the bigger names in the African art scenes. Raphael Lusengu was born in 1946 in the Democratic Republic of Congo and is currently based in Cape Town, South Africa. He enjoyed his artistic education in the 'Gandajika Art College' in Congo and at the 'Wilhelm Thelen private Art School' in Germany.
