ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was inspired by science fiction, and the places that we have yet to visit. Are these places hospitable to plant/animal/human life? Is space a lonely place or teaming with new life? I choose to work in acrylic because I like the 'plastic-y' look of the medium, which I feel mirrors the feel of science fiction tv show sets of the mid-late 60's, namely, Star Trek. I love saturated color, psychedelic art and creating worlds that may or may not exist anywhere but on the canvas.
