Muse Painting

The artist, Robin Ballard, is inspired by nature as she walks through forests, along waterways and into marshlands. Muse was inspired by a scene in the Lange Erlen, a natural refuge, which runs along the border of Switzerland and Germany. In a small pond, nearby trees cast shadows, and fallen blossoms floated across the water's surface. From the shore various plants grew, and with the elements combined it was a magical scene, which the artist tried to capture in paint. This painting is part of the artist's “Habitat” series, which is a celebration of trees, plants, botanical forms and animals. The painting is stretched on a frame and is easy to hang.
