My Nan Loves Cards and Sherry FloorPlan Series #4 In the 'Floor Plan' series, I was initially inspired by the work of Hans Hoffman and Sean Scully, I felt these abstract expressionists, and many others, have a way of painting emotion and placing it into a logical format. Kandinsky's understanding of colour and it's relationship to our physical and spiritual body is the second theme running throughout the series. Thirdly the square format in these art works is relative to the idea of structure, how we live in 'structures' during our life and the effects and memories this creates.
