My Own Private Chaos Painting

At the time that I made this painting, I was experimenting on beige cardboard and the result was interesting. It permitted my painting to have an interesting dark background. My studio is surrounded by woods, it is my own private hideout. Being in the woods allows me to concentrate on how nature alleviates me from the burdens of everyday life. Looking through my window, I can see the trees changing colors and the clouds moving in the sky. The outside world is a great source of inspiration for me. The beauty and colors give me life. My mind travels when I look outside. I can not stick to only one picture, which relaxes me. In my own private chaos, you can see my beloved cat, who sadly passed away two years prior to my painting of this scene. He truly meant so much to me and my life. I wanted to immortalize him within my painting as the one clear and calm piece within my chaos. I hope that the viewers will identify with this painting and their need to be close to nature. It is definitely the only way to get our tranquility and kindness back.
