For Mahnaz, art is a way of life and a means to express the wonder of the entire act of being in today's world. Her prolific and highly thought-provoking art is a form of expression translated through the medium of paintings and is meant to stimulate thought, ideas, and help the viewer to understand greater meaning based upon that which is directly in front of them. Mahnaz has made it her life's purpose to help everyone emotionally and spiritually. As a result, she has extensively studied various fields of counselling and therapies. Her studies have included self-help, youth and family, self-knowledge and self-awareness. Her vision while studying these various methods in helping others was to eventually pen books discussing the value and importance of working together to help one another; yet, her words became "lines", thoughts became "visions", and she was inspired to draw them on canvas spurring her evolutionary artistic career. Since then, Mahnaz has worked to produce a wide variety of work including realistic representations of detailed landscapes to abstract and visionary pieces analyzing the meaning and wonder of human existence and its condition. She works from a private studio almost entirely made of glass near a babbling brook and is surrounded by the all-empowering melodies of the birds, animals, and nature. Here, she is able to express her prolific ideas and visions on canvas while under the influence of nature's harmony. Over the past decade, she has lived on the North Shore where she currently resides with her loving husband and two beautiful dogs, Marley and Merlin, who give her all the support needed at every level to be an artist today.
