About The Artwork
Once in awhile the perceived image is transformed by the emotional response to that image. This painting is the result of such an experience. I knew this Taos Pueblo buildings from photographs, but nothing prepared me for how I first saw them in reality. My first impression was of deep orange buildings against a dark blue sky. The reality is somewhat different, the colors are dustier.
