About The Artwork

There is a myrtle forest near the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. This is the only place in the world where you can see so many rare trees in one park. The bark of the trees is very cold and smooth and has a brown color. In spring they bloom with beautiful white flowers. There is a legend that Walt Disney once visited this place and the fabulous myrtle forest inspired him to create the plot of the cartoon about the fawn Bambi.

My name is Nadia Bedei, I am an artist. I have been drawing all my life, I am a member of the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS). I work in the genres of portrait and landscape. Most of my work is done in pastels. I chose pastel, it is ideal for me: a combination of the tenderness of the material and the power of possibilities. I use only high quality professional pigments and a foundation that allow my creations to last for centuries. I like to paint light and movement in all their variety. I work mainly in my studio in Buenos Aires, transferring the impressions of what I saw to the picture and reflecting subtle nuances, creating a unique impression in my works.throughout life, depending on what or who we encounter. For me, at the moment, it was formed from observing the change of light and the plasticity of movements. I love the sea and mountains very much, there are many of them in my landscapes. At the same time, I like to portray the immediacy of animals or the characteristics of people.
