Titled "MYSTERIOUS DEPTHS" - COLLECTION "CONSCIOUSNESS" This piece focuses on exploring the duality of the close relationship between nature and human beings and the effects of these opposing and complementary forces. With each strand of fiber individually traced and woven by hand emulating textures found in the ocean landscape, MYSTERIOUS DEPTHS reflects the confrontations and imbalances of our race over nature texturing the death of an ecosystem, that was once vivid and colorful, as coral reefs are. How nature adjusts in response to changing environments, serving as a reminder that the only pathway to prosperous environmental coexistence is change. For the artist, the creation of this piece was a moment of self-reflection and introspection. An opportunity to raise awareness about our own footprint and its effect. Consideration of the fibers and materials used in this artwork was key. In creating "CONSCIOUSNESS COLLECTION", the artist has opted for a conscious approach, using organic, recycled and pre-loved fabrics, yarns and fibers, giving new life to the old.
