Mystical Ferns Painting

I put down my first impression on the canvas, my impressions of the swirls of this magnificent fern leaves under the trees. The bright colors are bringing the warm and sunlight home. This Indian Summer I was backpacking in a beautiful Pacific Northwest forest, in a far away pristine area called Indian Haven. The medium is not your run-off-the-mill tempera. It's an ancient technique of egg-based tempera, that have survived through the ages on ancient works of art and brings stability and permanence with it. It is painted on an archived canvas, so the work can stay the way it is for centuries to come.
