NO sTOPPING Painting

We were having lunch with other artists, looking at the patch-work like repairs on the wall, on the floor, practically all over the room. A few new tiles among the old and seasoned, splashes of new painting over the leaking walls, it was more than inspiring. The decor-setting in this old shop house upstairs-eatery along the wet market. Then, looking out the broken glass windows we saw a similar trend too. New construction sprouting up along this messy old shop houses, candies, household items, vegetables hanging all over the shop-fronts, which was very vibrant and colourful. The 'construction' site seem dull and gloomy in contrast. It was the Lunar New Year Festivity so, Once back in my studio, I visualize the picture with reverse effect- when scaffolds, nets are removed and the new buildings have their coat of paint, together with the variety of colours and goodies hanging outside the shop-houses and the patchwork -like repairs inside this eatery came together.
