ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Oil on stretched linen, this large painting is one that I have wanted to paint for a long time and I have thoroughly enjoyed creating it. Callistemons (bottlebrush) are one of my favourite wildflowers and represent the Australian scrub. These ones are from my garden and all dressed up in a lead crystal vase. This is representative of the hardiness of our environments even in the face of clashing new and ancient knowledges in caring for it. This painting is artist quality oil paint on stretched linen, It is wired and ready to hang.
