Necessary Ending Painting

- Second in a series titled "Fractures". Mixed Media - Ripped Fabric, Copper, Spray Paint, Wood, Shellac, Ash "Sometimes, even though it is as much 'you' as the thing you strive for, two different qualities are mutually exclusive and you must decide which one to cut off like a cancerous limb in order for the rest to flourish, a "Necessary Ending"." This is a multiplanar work which consists of acid treated copper and an upper surface of an intricate wooden pattern, ripped fabric, shellac flakes and ash. This artwork is divided into two but not necessarily considered a diptych. The white section in the image is the wall and not part of the work itself.
