Featured in: Brown Hotel Gallery Fall 2017 Show Hope Springs Erlanger Hospital Spring 2017 Show The way two thoroughbreds can lock in during a race so it seems they are the only two horses on the track can be some of the most exhilarating moments in the sport. This duel I captured during the 2015 Iroquois Steeplechase in Nashville, TN was just one of those moments. I wanted to capture the blinding speed, the surging muscles, and the inconsequential existence of a third horse in the scene.

Hollie Berry is an artist living and working in beautiful Chattanooga Tennessee. Originally from Texas, she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in Studio Art in 2009. Berry first made her mark in Chattanooga with her “Dewdles” or drawings in the dewy grass of Coolidge Park, then moved on to more permanent public art projects like interactive art installations and murals. When in her studio at Chattanooga WorkSpace, she focuses on more traditional oil paintings of her favorite subjects: Horses.
