About The Artwork

In the watercolor painting Night Kyiv City captures the night street of Podil during a blackout in Kyiv. Amidst the darkened cityscape, the wet streets reflect the sparse light, illuminating silhouettes of people walking on the street. Cobblestone pathways glisten with remnants of melted snow, while the ancient facades of buildings cast dramatic shadows against the night sky. Despite the absence of electricity, the scene is alive with the subtle glow of colorful garlands, reflecting in the wet street. The interplay of darkness and illumination creates a mesmerizing tableau of urban life, showcasing the timeless allure of Kyiv's Podil district under the cover of night, even during blackout times. Painted on 100% cotton, 300 g, acid-free, cold pressed, archival Arches watercolor paper with high-quality watercolor pigments. 38 x 56 cm
