Night Paris Painting

It was a trip to Paris just before the outbreak of the pandemic. February 2020. I participated in a large international exhibition Art Capital. I had very little time. I did not take paints and a sketchbook with me. It was an incredibly beautiful state in the evening. My friend and I discovered that we can climb the Arc de Triomphe. We saw small figures from above and were terribly happy that we could look at the city from there. We have been to Paris several times, but we never paid attention to it. The time allotted for climbing upward was very limited. Of course, there was a downpour with the wind when we got ready to go. But we are very brave and inquisitive artists - we went there anyway. It was just amazingly beautiful. The city seemed to have turned into a living creature and, with noisy flashing streets, joyfully hummed, plunging into the nightlife. An elegant tower shone in the distance in gold. With his cold spotlight, he seemed to spread among all people the vectors of their necessary movement. This light circled randomly across the night sky. Above, on the Arc de Triomphe, there was a terrible wind and rain, which immediately made us absolutely wet. But we were so fascinated by such a picture that we didn't care. Then, already at home, I painted this sketch from a photograph, putting into it all this storm of emotions that I experienced under the night sky of Paris.
