About The Artwork
This was painted as the Roman numeral for 9, but had the added bonus of also appearing to be two combined triangles. This was not intentional, but I do like the way you can swap between these two perspectives, but not see them both at the same time. The influence for this painting was oriental calligraphy, Saul Bass film posters from the 1960s used to take an apparently innocuous subject and make it appear dynamic
