This piece is whimsical. Sometimes we (I) can all take art a little too seriously. This painting explores the incalculable power and mystery of a worm hole in space. Why not take a little trip, change our everyday lives up a little, and enter a new universe? No reason. Just because. My paintings are abstract works in acrylic that dig deep into emotion, mood, depth of feeling, spirit, and the transformative power of magical thinking. I love expressing spacious concepts down to gentle ideas visually in a small space. Using purposeful color, distinctive paint textures, spontaneous abstract composition, I strive to create dreamy snapshots of metaphorical moments in the natural, nonphysical, mystical and spiritual worlds. I call my artwork “visual poetry.”

My name is Jason Taylor Morgan. A self-taught artist, I began painting at 66 years old, in 2021. I was born in Boston, MA, and now live in Sonoma County, Northern California.
