About The Artwork
A magical voyage inspired by the shadow bands that looked like waves rippling on shallow flats that were waltzing across the floor during the total eclipse of the sun. I felt transported by waves of awe and joy as if on a boat to a destination full of wonder and possibility. I think of the experience and of this painting as a source of healing and happiness. I chose high key colors dominated by the primary pair- yellow and blue - to represent the primary dancers in the sky that day, the sun and moon.
