Nocturno Painting

In 2011, the artist left the city and settled on the Argentine Atlantic coast. Returning to a natural environment completely transforms her life and her painting. Forest, sea and wetlands are the new spaces where the painter circulates. Her latest large-format paintings were created there, describing the landscape in its infinite variations of light and color as the day and the seasons pass. In these years, Godnic has been working in parallel on a series of small watercolors on paper, inspired by small treasures that she collects on her walks. Stones, snails, seeds, flowers, shoots of a plant. Tiny objects that she meticulously observes and describes using the watercolor technique. Thus a new way of approaching painting is born, a new phase of his creative process that is mutating, in continuous development. “By portraying the nature that surrounds me, I try to understand what this is, which is where I decide to live today.”
