About The Artwork

In the grand tapestry of our lives, an intricate weaving of experiences, emotions, and fleeting moments, memories emerge as the gleaming jewels that lend richness to our journey. These memories, radiant and invaluable, accompany us like cherished treasures, casting light upon the pathways we've traversed. Much like delicate vessels, memories encapsulate the very essence of what we once were, who we are now, and the aspirations that propel us forward. Our memories, like intricately woven threads, hold the very essence of existence – they encapsulate laughter and tears, victories and trials. These memories converge to construct the tapestry of our identity, forging a narrative that we carry within us as we navigate life's intricate pathways. They are not fleeting snapshots, but rather vibrant brushstrokes that illuminate the canvas of our existence. Each cherished moment, a finely executed brushstroke, captures the very core of our being, as well as the boundless potential that lies within. "Non ti scordar di me," meaning "Forget-me-not" in English. In these words, the profound purpose of our being is encapsulated. Our journey is not one of mere existence but of living – of embracing every fleeting second, gathering memories like precious flowers strewn along our path, and cherishing them as the iridescent gems that define our passage. The imperfections of life – the crests and troughs, the affection and farewells – all contribute to the masterpiece we diligently shape with each passing day. Within this artistic endeavor, our memories serve as the palette, painting hues of meaning across the canvas of our existence. Every experience, every emotion, every encounter contributes a stroke of brilliance to the grand mural that represents our life's journey.

www.kareninafabrizzi.com Saatchi Art NFT artist #SaatchiArtNFTArtist #Fair Director's Pick Saatchi art AAF NYC Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea March 22 – 26, 2023 ART on Paper 2022 New York City I have been always fascinated by nature, the behavior of animals, the way that flowers and plants grow and how we are a big part of it, the subtle injection of ambiguity that blurs the gap between the ordinary and the fantastic. In my work I want to bring nature closer to the observer, to connect people with their roots and memories. Organic elements are essential as they show us, like in a fairy tale, the link between the subconscious mind and the actual world. This, besides having an apparent dark side, also embodies a sense of fragility and Vulnerability, which seems to be a consistent characteristic of my work. Delicate graphite lines, a subtle oil color palette, ink and rice paper all amalgamate to create layer after layer a particularly dreamy look that distinguishes my work. About the technique Each painting that I create is a unique dance with a variety of materials, unique to each work. I often refer back to traditional painting methods when priming the surface and preparing the paints. One of my preferred mediums is egg tempera, which i prepare myself from scratch in the same way that the renaissance masters would have done. I always use oils and inks in my work. The quality of these mediums enables me to build up subtle and rich layers, from which my poetic images appear. Each work is always a battle between exposing and suppressing different areas until the perfect balance of color and form is achieved.
