About The Artwork
Stalheimskleiva in Norway is one of the steepest roads in Northern Europe with 13 hairpin bends, built during 1842-1846. When driving down this road it offers breathtaking views into the Nærøydalen Valley that are pulling you in and are fully absorbing you. When we once again returned to this place in this years summer vacation I couldn't help but taking what felt like hundrets of photographs and I couldn't wait for a chance to capture and recreate the impressions that this place left in me in my watercolor paintings.
