Norwegian Symphony Painting

This painting was inspired by my long stay Trondheim , Norway. The rounded rocks there have been formed by glaciers millions of years ago. They are like thousands on small sculptures and I found them to be fascinating. The gold and red parts of the painting represent the unity and family nature of the Norwegian people. Let me give you an example, My son was teaching computer science at the request of Ohio State University. He has his MS in math and his PhD in Mathematics. While here, his two kids got the flu and he took them to the emergency room at a local hospital near Columbus. Not much was done for them, but when Keith got home to Norway, he got a bill for $1500 USD for each of the girls. Once, when I was visiting, I got a really bad chest cold. I went to the ER in Trondheim. They gave me every possible test, x-rays, antibiotics...the works. When I was discharged, the doctor apologized for having to charge me $20 USD for the visit. Norwegians are happy people. Their government pays for any citizen's schooling K through Phd. They are unified. Why can't we, as the richest country in the world, take case of our people? The rocks are highly detailed, just list the real rocks at their history museum. This piece exists as an original painting and prints are not available.
