About The Artwork
The piece is separated into two halves, split diagonally by a white line. The colored lines on the top and bottom represent timelines traveling through time. In the lower half, the background is warmer, more welcoming and each line makes it to the edge of the canvas. Meaning that when your timeline crosses with the timelines of others you will make it to the end. The upper half of the piece is comprised of colder colors signifying the less welcoming environment. The Orange line itself is a warm, rich existence but it does not cross any other lines and as it drifts into the blackness, signifying harder and darker times, the timeline stops. It ceases to exist. You can do it, just Not Alone

I've never really considered art as a creative release until recently. More recently in my life, things have become harder and more emotionally intense and I turned to art to express that darkness and complexity that I felt on an emotional level. My intention is to express the dark and complex feelings I find myself experiencing at this point in my life with simple visuals.
