About The Artwork

This mixed media piece takes its inspiration from the community noticeboards that one can readily see on the streets and near public buildings in Japan. Sometimes they are heavily used and sometimes not at all or seldom updated, so that a palimpsest of image over image with random juxtaposition emerges. This had been made with the idea that it will be hung as is on the wire which is also part of the work. It won't need a frame. It is also durable and doesn't have or need a glass front, so it is safe and easy to move.

I am delighted to make available original works and prints of my paintings and drawings. I am a landscape and still life painter who sometimes veers off into the non-objective. My work is also available through Nihonbashi Gallery in Tokyo.
