Nyepi 3 - Balinese Day of Silence and darkness Painting

Hello, My name is Uliana Fandera. I’m from Russia, based in Bali island, Indonesia. I’m a contemporary full time artist and have been creating paintings in the abstract and surrealism style of art since 2002. I am a self-taught and independent artist. The ideas for my art work come to me from the unconscious. The moment I start drawing the first line on the canvas, I never know where it will take me. In my art works I use irony, bold, positive colors, shapes and images. There is enough pain, sadness and evil in our world and I don't want to magnify it by reflecting it in my work. I want my art work to bring joy, make you smile and move you to see the world through different eyes. The main themes of my art are: psychology, mythology, religion, mysticism, culture. I draw in the style of surrealism and abstraction because I feel maximum freedom in this style. Here I can say anything, even if it's impossible to say it.
