ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Octopus is a part of my Underwater sea world painting collection and it was inspired by watching this sublime animal in its natural habitat during my snorkelling adventure on the island of Fiji a few years back. Nothing moves with more grace than the Octopus. Its fluid and smooth tentacles navigate through the water so gently yet with such power, it feels like it encompasses everything around it. Colourful and majestic, this creature is so pervasive it almost spills outside my canvas. If you look very close you can see the tentacles moving around, fish swirling in between them, plants and corals slowly swaying - all uniting together in a spiritual underwater dance. This painting, like the majority of my artworks, is visually layered and like heaven for human imagination. The more you look the more you see, it surprises you again and again. To me this is also a perfect meditation artwork where tentacles of kindness, love and warmth are pushing away everyday worry, sadness and negativity brightening everything around. Oxana Lazari

Oxana Lazari is a young psychedelic artist working in dot art technique . Born in the north of Moldova, small town called Glodeni. Graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Moldavian State University. Self-taught artist, started her career in 2018 as a hobby. Today she is a professional artist. Oxana Lazari's works are in private collections around the world - Australia, America, New Zealand, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Ukraine, Poland, Canada. The main themes of Oxana's works - the underwater world, space, as well as flora and fauna - can sometimes be combined with each other. So, on one canvas you can see an astronaut, a spaceship, as well as fish and corals. Most of the works are visually layered and like a puzzle to the human imagination. The longer you look, the more you see, and it surprises you again and again. The dense filling of the canvas, the deep composition and the repetition of motifs are striking: spirals, circles, decorative symbols form a kaleidoscope of clearly traced details.
