This is an acrylic painting made on a canvas board. What inspires me the most is film and I spent most of my life studying, researching, watching and finally even working in horror movies. I recently found myself fascinated by the idea of being able to capture the moving picture into a single static picture. To take a scene or a moment made of infinite single moving images full of different colors, shades, expressions and bring out the soul of it. To capture it into one single image, into one single fragment. I put together in this painting three of the most beautiful horror films ever made: The Shining (1980) by Kubrick; Psycho (1960) by Hitchcock; The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) by Hooper. Each of these movies and each of the scenes I portrayed conveys a very specific feeling that I tried to bring into the painting. This painting is an ode to horror.
