When camera was invented in 1855, portraiture by paint slowly ended. But artist still have an urge to draw and paint people faces Of course it is a tricky matter, most portraits painted for sell are a joke, Picasso is to be blame for that, artist thinks that if he can do it so can I So now all you see is ghastly works, painted with wrong colors, how hard is it to paint a face, you have to know what color of paint to use, red, yellow and white with a very little blue I struggles with getting it right, it is not easy, but I’ve learn to start with the nose, it is the anchor of the face everything related to it. Of course the rest is also very important, the shirt collar, jewelry too, they all matters.
