About The Artwork
I am a ballet fan and when younger I used to paint a lot of ballerinas due to a close connection with some outstanding dancers. On this occasion, I wanted to capture movement and use different mediums especially colored pencils which are back in fashion thanks to innovative techniques. Red is a characteristic color of the Spanish culture, so I emphasized that by painting a contrasting background. Hope you enjoy this "cambré" (name of this ballet position) as much as I did painting it.
