About The Artwork
This is a painting of Bisbee, Arizona, a historic copper mining town turned art colony. Bisbee is colorful in every sense, from its art galleries, antique shops, old store fronts, craft stores and historic homes clinging to the hillsides. It also has colorful people, most of whom drive antique automobiles, some of which have been turned into moving modern art sculptures. Bisbee is also near the Mexican border, so many of the shops carry colorful Mexican tiles, ceramics and baskets. The painting's impressionist style and bold brush strokes radiate the joyful state of mind that you feel walking the streets of this wonderful art community.
