On the prowl Painting

I loved this image of a leopard hunting, prowling, searching. Something has caught its eye to make it seem to growl. There is menace here in this picture. Yet the beautiful curves of the leopards bones and back can be seen in the bent camouflage. His black spots are brown in the light. There is some movement in its front paw prowling in lush grass. It shares catness with all others of the feline kind. We see cat in it. Yet it is unique with its camouflage patterns. I wonder if domestic cats could produce this camouflage? Disruptive patterns must break up images. The Bible uses the leopard spots as an image of our inability to change ourselves. Can the leopard change its spots? No neither can we change our sinful desires. We need to be made new creations- we need new birth or regeneration. In the new creation the leopard is also said to lie down with the goat. An image of a world, like the first creation without any death or hurting. Everything points back to a perfect world ruined and in need of remaking.
