About The Artwork

Once upon a time Bronze age, stories etched in stone Ancient history I was inspired by the thrilling concept 'vertical frontiers', about the linkages between land use and groundwater. We know that Rom was build on a meadow, which was drained, and thus handling a problem with shallow groundwater made space for the new metropol. Then I thought about the tsunami which destroyed the ancient create bronze age culture and whiped it out. I also thought about the Helleristninger you can visit at Bohus Län North of Göteborg. In the bronze age the old scandinavian population met during summer festivals like we do today. Which ships did they use? Could it have been people from South East Europa who visited the Nordic countries?

I am a Danish hydrologist currently working as a principal investigator and researcher at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland at Øster Voldgade 10, 1350 in Copenhagen (working in close cooperation with Copenhagen University institute for geology and geography). I am known for my research in the field of hydrogeology, with a focus on groundwater resources and their management, as well as the impact of climate change on groundwater systems. I have published many papers in the international scientific journals, and I am also a member of several scientific organisations.
