This is an original, one of a kind abstract painting on a thick cradled wooden panel; hand painted by me in September, 2014.

This original painting is titled 'One Man Band' and it is dedicated to the memory of my Dad. My dad was not a man with musical ability, but his talents were evident in many other areas. He worked tirelessly as a missionary in Mexico and he was the 'go to guy' to get things done. He was an avid photographer, gardener and arborist; perhaps that is why some of the 'stringed instrument' shapes in this painting resemble melons and other fruits.

This original abstract painting features a colorful geometric composition of circles, squares, rectangles, and other various shapes. The rich colors in this artwork include yellow, orange, turquoise, teal, green, chartreuse, rust, brown, tan, beige, white and black. I've used thick paint and artist sand medium to create amazing texture that you can feel. I've neatly finished the edges of the thick wooden panel in black, so framing is not necessary. It will be finished with two coats of varnish for dust and UV protection. Hanging hardware is attached, and this painting is signed, titled and dated on the reverse.
