About The Artwork
Hi, this painting I made in 2016 was inspired by Shakespeare Hamlet character Ophelia, when she jumps in the river after she discovered her lover killed her father. And of course it's also a tribute to the wonderful painting of John Everett Millais painting of Ophelia. To create this painting I did a live shoot session with the famous travelling model, Kelsey Dylan. The painting has been sold very quickly to an American photographer who told me that he is a big fan of both Ophelia character, Millais painting and Kelsey the model. So obviously he wanted to own this painting :)
