I became interested in graffiti in 2013, when I got to one of the festivals that take place every year in city Rostov-on-Don. I was inspired by the atmosphere in graffiti parks, watched the work of artists, made sketches and gradually became imbued with their art. Their boldness and originality inspired me to create a series of compositions that reflect life in a graffiti park. I was interested in combining street art culture and classical oil painting. The works were created in the tradition of modern realism. It combines elements of figurative and abstract composition. A series of paintings has been created since 2013. They show the life of a street art artist. The idea of this work came about when I saw a funny, in my opinion, situation - a guy is standing and drawing something bright, huge, incomprehensible. The plot of the work is tied to the contrast of a living person and painted graffiti. Nowadays street art has become very popular. And graffiti is one of the types of street art. I believe that this topic is relevant at the moment because it is modern, bright and interesting. The painting is made in oil on canvas.
