Out in the Canyons Painting

Out in the canyons, the flowers grow. Drier and redder than the rest, they take on as much of the heat and the air as they can before they lose their buds, and enter the spiral of decay for the coming winter months. Out in the canyons, the sky is painfully blue, and the walls are indulgently orange. Out in the canyons we feast on starvation, we breathe in the dirt and sand, we walk on the heat and we stare blindingly into the sun. Out in the canyons we don't run, we walk slowly.
